Site Engineer Software for Pocket PC

An employee currently runs nrg Pocket Site Engineer on his Compaq PDA with Windows pocket PC 2.0.

We are due to undertake a trial with Vodafone using their HTC V1640, however nrg say that their software will not run on Windows Mobile 5.0, as "Windows Mobile 5.0 does not support the runtime Engine that is required by the NRG software, so at present the software will NOT run on Pocket PC Systems using Windows Mobile 5.0"

is this a microsoft issue or a nrg programming issue?

Does anybody know of any other Site Engineering software for Pocket PC. The software is used on construction sites by the Contracts Manager.
