Guest SeriousSam- Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 As reported on www.coolsmartphone.com and my blog [imapi.blogspot.com] Orange are set to release an update for all there WM5 devices in the next couple of weeks. The update will be an incremental update as per the new features of WM5 and save you having to completly re-ROM your device. The update should provide the necessary software for DirectPush email if you connect to an Exchange (2003 SP2) service/server and some new BlueTooth features. Hopefully the BlueTooth part of the update will fix the horrendous problems I've had with just basic functionality like staying paired and answering calls. Just thought I'd let everyone know.
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 That sounds like its including the AKU2 with MSFP features. Basically support for push email, stereo bluetooth profiles, and support for the new features on Exchange SP2!
Guest SeriousSam- Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 Yes that's right. AKU2.0/2.2 is the next release of the OS if you like (we've had AKU releases for wm2003[se] for example). So this next release includes the MSFP which will enable Direct Push email and several other Mobile management features such as remote wipe, enforced PIN, Mobile policies etc. Cheers
Guest w411y Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 Anyone heard of a WM5 upgrade for the C550
Guest SeriousSam- Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 Might be the 8th of March for the AKU 2 for Orange UK users...

Guest Pondrew Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 Moved to Pocket PC Main so that it can be found by all Orange Pocket PC Phone users...
