Need a driver to use data cord, got no cd

Hi all,

I got the USB data cord for the SMT5600 (am in the US), but I don't have the original product CD and can't install the device on my XP poot. Audiovox.com doesn't have drivers/software or any info on their site, except for some info still available via google.

On the data cable, and without the correct driver, the phone both isn't charging and the card isn't showing up as a drive (if that's what is supposed to happen). It is labeled as the correct DICU5600 cord. Any help?

Do you have Activesync installed on your computer? Download it from www.microsoft.com/downloads

Audiovox smt5600 support is now handled by www.utstarcom.com - no software there either but there is a 1-800 number for support. HTH.

Activesync is all you need to connect your phone to the pc.

As you have connected the phone before installing Activesync you may get a few problems, if you do try this post for a fix
