Restoring Screen to Default (SDA edition)

A while ago - over two years ago! - I threw together a CAB file based on an earlier CAB file that would change a bunch of OEM images with the default SmartPhone images for the common "dialogs" for the MPx200. Now I have a T-Mobile SDA and I've noticed that the CAB could use a tweak to work on my new device

So, I dug out my old BAT file and got a new CAB together. For the most part this CAB will:

a) replace the T-Mobile header on dialing with a "SmartPhone" image

:) replace all of the all-white images used in "alert" dialogs with the original SP2002/SP2003 images (these are still on the phone, in the ROM)

c) adds a GIF file for the Incoming Calls dialog (this was missing and caused problems)

d) leave the wallpaper on the contacts application and home screen unchanged

You will need to reboot to have all of the images take effect.

FWIW, if you uninstall the CAB, the GIF file will be removed and all of the OEM images will be restored.

Enjoy!

Any screenshots of these files? I'd love to get a preview before installing it!

If you install it and dont like it ... just go to Start - Settings - Remove Programmes and remove the screens so it goes back to normal :)

But I suppose screenshots would be nice

True - you can just uninstall it - there's only one file included in the install and that is definitely removed with the uninstall.

alert confirmation:

alert.jpg

I got only this one screenshot of it: it's hard to catch the massages on the fly. The screenshot shows "yell.gif" at work - the rest of the images are similar and already on your phone:

\windows\ques.gif

\windows\yell.gif

\windows\info.gif

\windows\volume.gif

\windows\call.gif is the missing one that the CAB adds: that's a yellow phone in the circle.

(and thanks for the props :))
