Guest TigerNet Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 Hi I keep getting the message 'you are running low on storage memory' and yet I have very little to delete on my SP5m...anyone know what I need to get rid of to fix this issue... Cheers Nick
Guest stemill Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 I have just started getting this message as well. I don't store anything on the phone having moved everything i can to the storagecard. On investigation it appears the only thing taking up any room on the phone is the Windows folder which is huge, 73.2MB to be precise. Is this normal? I haven't knowingly added anything to the Windows folder.
Guest Looby Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 Have you cleared your files in Internet Explorer under options 'clear-storage'? :)
Guest satyab Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 I was about to post the same thing about the \Windows folder. Interestingly there are multiple files of the same name with a different number suffix. e.g. SysInfo.dll.0405.MUI SysInfo.dll.0407.MUI SysInfo.dll.0408.MUI .. and so on for a total of 10 files. And this pattern is similar for so many files. I believe this has to do something with the languages but I am not sure. Any ideas? Secondly, I read so many threads about memory management and have done whichever is applicable. There is no mention of the files that can be deleted from \Windows folder. So all the experts...could you please tell me the files that can be safely deleted from the \Windows folder. Thanks.
