SPV C500 - Hidden Message

Hey all,

I recently received a delivery report for a text I sent, and it showed up on the main home screen as 1 unread as normal (standard Orange layout).

I opened my text messages inbox and I can't see it or delete it - so it's still showing on the main home screen as 1 unread. Folders view also shows 1 unread.

Any way I can drop the home unread down to 0 again or delete the text from my inbox without wiping all my messages?

firstly: tried switching the phone on and off?

OK, well I have solved the problem. I did two things - not sure which corrected the error.

- Message Options > Import from SIM. Phone vibrates and shows a couple of extra unread messages

- Scrolled to the bottom and it was there with the SIM messages so just read it and deleted it

As I say, I guess the Import from SIM just led me to the bottom of the folder which led me to the delivery report.

Normally this is what we call the Phamtom SMS it's a problem that has been around since the early days of the SPV.

The fix for this is listed in the post here

Looks like your problem may have been something slightly different.

Thanks Awarner. Yeah, I think mine was just a sorting error putting the text at the bottom.
