Guest Navec245 Posted February 26, 2006 Report Posted February 26, 2006 While my PC was connected to my Cingular 8125 (HTC Wizard) I noticed that 2 folders did not appear on my PC. The Windows and Temp folders. I see these folders on the device but not the PC. I wanted to load some ringtones. I can do it another way and just move them on the device but its easier if the folder shows up on my PC. Is there a way around this without a hard reset? I don't want to risk editing the registry either. Thanks.
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted February 26, 2006 Report Posted February 26, 2006 Unfotunately it is not possible as they are protected system folders. You'll need to copy the files to my device, My Documents or the storage card then move them using file explorer on your phone. Personally i keep my ringtones (MP3's) in the root of my storage card or in my docs, then tap and hold the file > set as ringtone.
Guest Navec245 Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 Thank you for the reply. I ended up doing a hard reset and it still did not appear. Had I seen your reply I would not have bothered! :)
Guest bennish Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 They're hidden system folders. If you use the windows explorer options to make them visible, they show up on the pc. :)
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 I forgot AS took those settings into account on the PC!
