ActiveSync 4.0 problems with C600

Do hope one of you can help me. I've just replaced my SPVC500 with a C600 and have installed Activesync 4.0 (replacing 3.7). Synchronisation used to work perfectly before but now only my Calendar will synchronise. Contacts...which I really need won't synchronise at all. I can't even configure the settings because the settings button is greyed out. I haven't a clue what might be causing the problem so if any of you can point me in the right direction I would be eternally grateful!!

Bizare, my contacts sync but not my calendar. only difference is that all my options are enabled. dunno if this helps try sync'ing offline.

I have just upgraded to c600 and also have synch problems. I have synched with my work computer but am trying to set up another relationship with my home laptop (which I believe is possible). BUT I think I left the phone connected when I rebooted and now the laptop will not recognise the phone at all so i can't even 'explore' the phone. Do I need to reset?
