Thanks for all the help on the stuff beforeit worked! However, I am now having even more problems with outlook. Whenever i try sending E-mail i get this message:

Task 'imap.aol.com - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC78) : 'Unable to send the message. Please verify the e-mail address in your account properties. The server responded: 556 CLIENT AUTHENTICATION REQUIRED. USE ESMTP EHLO AND AUTH.'

Anyone know why this is? I can recieve E-mail, but i cant send it for some reason. Lastly, the other day i got 4 E-mails from the same person (a family friend sending some pics) and ever since then, whenever i click on my inbox outlook freezes and i have to close it using the task manager. If anyone has any suggestions i would greately appreciate it.

p.s- i feel like im not posting these questions in the right place, is there somewhere more appropriate? or is this ok?

Caveat: I don't use AOL !

Try switching on Outgoing (SMTP) Authentication (Tools - EMail Accounts - Change - More Settings - My Outgoing Server Requires Autentication)

This might cure the outgoing email problem. As for locking up - I would delete the multiple emails you received and restart Outlook, see if that helps.

If it locks up as soon as you open Outlook, try opening Outlok with the safe mode switch turned on (/safe) - see here for details.
