Hey ive got 2 contracts with orange one i upgraded 2months ago for a c550 that i love the other i left while i found a phone i liked. While i was looking ive narowed it down to 2 handsets the Vario or the Compact II still trying to dicide on these, im a average user spending around £25/£30 a month id like to avoid paying for the phones if possible and there are a few sites with ofers to do this :) .

ive always been happy with orange service but as there not very flexibl on giving me a deal for new phones im left with moving companys but dont want to pick O2 or Tmob if thee customer service sucks :)

Any ideas thx :D

Ps if this is the wrong section please move thx

I just moved from Vodafone to T-Mobile and they've been excellent so far.

T-Mobile's online self serve website is very good - allows you to view your account, full bills, calls so far, and change settings yourself. I've been really impressed as I didn't have anything like this with my Vodafone account (Vodafone Business).

If you're looking for a large data bundle each month then Web & Walk is probably worth a look: http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/Dispatcher?menui...onal_web_n_walk - it seems to be a bit hard to find from the T-Mobile front page right now.

I'm on o2 online 100 (texter option), It gives 150 anytime cross network minutes, 750 text messages (or 185 mms messages, or a mix of both) for £25 per month. I then got the browse and download 4mb add on for £5 and the gold insurance for £4.99 per month. So in total I have:

150 mins

750 texts

4mb gprs

gold insurance (theft / accidental damage etc)

£34.99 per month

I'm very happy with it! The phone itself cost £79.99 and it was an 18 month contract. You then get to add o2 treats afterwards I think, such as more minutes, more texts or discount to certain countries etc (for free).

The o2 website also has bills online with a breakdown of everything you've used and got left and their online support is pretty good.

I also prefer the look of the o2 XDA mini s over the vario. Overall I'm very pleased with it!

Glad I could help...

next tip: do a basic install not full (this will require you to do a hard reset when you get the phone, but will boost performance many times over!)

If you need any help don't hesitate to ask!

check out flext on T mobile

for 15 a month you get £34 for talk or txt ie 340 txts

5 a month 6mb data

and phone costs 60

it looks a lot better for me as I mostly txt. and hopefully its easy to

sync data from web sites over wi-fi at home and view offline.

I've been looking at those flext tarif's. They look really good, especially with the 25% discount for life that they currently have.

MDA Compact II - free

£60 worth of text or talk (I'll get 200 min's / 200 text) - £18.75

6mb of data - £5

Adds up to a free mda compact II and a tariff of £23.75 that really suits my use.

Just waiting for my Orange contract to finish now. Still got two months left.
