Orange MMS size restriction . . .

I have an SPV C550 on Orange UK and send many MMS messages.

Under start>>more>>more>>configurations>>mms settings>>press menu + select mmsc settings>>highlight orangemms + press edit,

you can amend the max sending size for a message but can only select either 30kb (what!!) or 100kb. Is anyone aware of any tweaks, or any other ways of increasing this as quite often my messages do go over 100kb. Many lesser handsets (eg- smasung d600) allow this setting to be increased to up to 300kb.

Any ideas appreciated guys,

Thanks,

Wildcardspv.

As far as I'm aware, Orange only support up to 100kb anyway.

To what aim?

The setting is there for a reason...

The UK NETWORKS themselves, only handle and deliver MMS under 100KB.

That's why the setting is there.

Sure, I can change the setting on a Nokia 6230i too.

But it will do me no good, when my 200KB message doesn't arrive now will it *lol*

There was talk of the UK nets moving to 300KB (long overdue given the advent of 3.2 MegaPixel camera phones etc), but so far, no progress.
