I know I can't synch a Qtek 8310 or iMate SP5 with my Mac, yet. OK, I'll be patient, for a bit. But I do need, at the very least, to get a few hundred contact names/numbers from my Mac to my phone. Is it possible to export in some format from my Mac address book to a file, put it on a memory card, and import the contacts from there to the phone? Could I do it somehow over 802.11 or bluetooth? How about via some intermediary, like my Yahoo! address book? Or, in the extreme case, is there some sort of public exchange server or something that I could use?

If I did an export/export kludge like this, would the phone be smart enough to group each individual's entries. i.e. would I have a single entry for Jane Doe that would show all of her #'s, or would there be separate Jane Doe entries for each of her #'s?

Is the same strategy possible with events from my calendar.

I know this wouldn't really be synching since it's only a one-way process, but it would work for me until Pocketmac or Mark/Space gets the real thing going.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, so thanks in advance!

Welcoem to the site :)

Try Pocket Mac

http://www.pocketmac.com/

It's not free though.

I'd love to use Pocketmac or the similar Mark/Space product, but neither works with WM5 yet, and neither company will even guess (publicly, at least) when they expect their products to work with WM5. So, I'll buy whichever gets there first, but I need some way to get my contacts on a new phone until then.
