Headset problem (sp5m)

Hi,

I have a pair of headphones connected through an adapter to my sp5m, when i unplug them I can't get the profile to return to normal. I've tried manually selecting a different profile (no sound out of the phone), tried 'automatic' (no change). Run out of ideas, please help!

i seem to remember a similar thread in the c500 section where the headphone socket became faulty and thought that the headphones were still in the socket. -

My memorys not the best but i believe that it was the contacts inside and that it was a warranty problem.

Do a search in the c500 section - i seem to remember it being quite a large and popular thread

Thanks for your help guys! A bit of WD40 did the trick in the end. Was about to throw it through a window, don't suppose that would have helped much.

I am glad I saw this subject because this has been annoying the hell out of me I use my phone in my truck to listen to music. i will try the WD40 in the morning. I just tried the third part of popping that black thing out around the jack but i didnt want to damage it and it didnt practically fall out so i left it alone.
