Guest Godfather Posted March 2, 2006 Report Posted March 2, 2006 Can someone tell me how to customize the alarm in windows mobile 5.0. I just got Cingular 8125 and I don't know where to put the sound files for the alarm. i have tried windows/ring, mydocs/mysounds, apps/sounds none of those seem to work. any ideas? also is there a program available to add profiles to the pockpc phone, smartphones have them but the ppc phones don't. i want the automatic setting so it can detect when I'm in a meeting etc. and put the phone on silent. anything out there yet? thanks!
Guest rp1790 Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 What you need is PPCProfiles which is in this forum, up one level and you'll see it.
Guest Godfather Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 Also is there a way to some how edit the registry so that the windows alarm can play wma files? I hate the wav files because they are too big in file size. Or is there a free program out there that I can use that will play wma's and has multiple scheduled alarms?
Guest fraser Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 Try another alarm util. I use Stoptime, lets you set as many alarms as you want, and which days they are active. You can also set temporary reminders like "take dinner out of oven". Finally, if the phone is on silent, it will sort the volume out so you actually hear the alarm. Very handy!

Very handy! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm looking more for an Alarm clock that I can customize the sound I wake up to. If there is a free alarm clock out there that I can customize the sound and it is able to play wma's or wavs or whatever can someone please tell me. I like waking up to Halo!lol
Guest ddieter Posted March 7, 2006 Report Posted March 7, 2006 Mortplayer has an alarm utility within it, which will allow you to wake up to any MP3 or Ogg file. Works well, and some of the skins actually have a big snooze button in the middle of the screen.
