Hi guys!

I 'm new to this forum and you guys seem pretty cool! I got reccomended here by a friend of mine and he though you lot should be able to help me with my problem.

I have a IPAQ 1930 running on pocket PC 2003. I recently brought a Pretec SDIO wi-fi card to upgrade it and allow we to access wi-fi hotspots when on the move.

I currently have wireless networking at home.

The problem is, although I spent £60 on this device, I cannot seem to get it to work, despite following the instructions countless numbers of times.

The light on the actual card does not turn on, and it does not work. My device is definatly compatible with it so this is seriously beginning to bug me.

I have tried:

- removing the green label

-installing ALL the drivers

-soft resets

-hard resets

- putting the CAb files on the actual pocket pc

I seem to be able to install it without a problem, but when it comes down to putting the card in, it does nothing.

I have tried running the prgram on the pda for it but it just doesnt look right. All that happens in the left hand corner it says 'pretec sd wirelss lan' or soemthing like that, cant remember exact words, and doesnt do anything else

Also the cd that came would not install the 2003 driver so i had to install it from the website.

Apparently their have been some problems regarding this...does anyone know how to crack it?

Dont know about the Pretec card, but my SafeCOM card had similar issues and turned out to be dead.

Have you tried the card in another device?
