Guest ChrisJM Posted March 2, 2006 Report Posted March 2, 2006 well McDonalds seem to have wifi access now :S i think thats kinda odd!
Guest Prosody Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 I managed to find a free hotspot whilst queuing outside 'The Academy' in Birmingham waiting for a gig, it was only at a certain part of the walll but it got my IPaq on and surfing fine. ;)
Guest jimbouk Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 I went for dinner at a friend's new flat the other day and found nine (yes nine) unsecured AP's! But I've also now found wireless access at all of Daytona's kart tracks in the UK (apparently they've done a deal with Claranet).
Guest k9ruby Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 Cool! I'll have to try it next time I'm there! Unfortunately I'm not usually in the best state to be using the stylus on my pocket pc when at the academy though!
Guest jimbouk Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 Pub next door to Northwood Hills Tube station. The William Jolly or something. You turn wifi on and oy get offered mycloud (which costs) but the pub or someone nearby called the wbcorporation have left their ap unsecured.
Guest nevawlkalone Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 (edited) In the middle loo of the gents in Manchester Piccadilly...was nout to do with the station but it was only in that cubicle coz as i left, it cut off..... ;) ;) :( On a more serious note, all Cafe Nero's (mmmmmm Mocha) and Mc Donalds have hotspots in them but i think they cost..never had my iPAQ on me to try 'em... Guest aries6776 Posted December 7, 2007 Report Posted December 7, 2007 (edited) well McDonalds seem to have wifi access now :S i think thats kinda odd! LOL Yeah sitting in my car next to all the chav's in the pimped up rides whilst I surf the net with wifi for free is quite amusing! Edited December 7, 2007 by aries6776
Guest aznsolo Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 In the a over-head tunnel walk in downtown Atlanta, Georgia. The tunnel that starts from the Hilton hotels to the mall. My phone picked up atleast 15 signals, but only three was unsecured. I was walking so I didn't have a chance to connect to any of them. I guess it picked up so many because it was higher off the ground and most routers are on high story office building, signal avoided all the trees and cars.
