New Xda Exec owner here, again.

I haven't found any mention as to wether there is a backup battery in these devices.

My previous PhonePDA was an iPAQ 6365 and it explicitly stated the charge level of the backup battery.

So what happens on the universal when the main battery runs out of juice? Restore from a backup time?

neildo.

The Universal uses persistant memory, there is no backup battery because it does not need one. The RAM in the phone is Flash RAM and retains your data even if there is no power.

But is there any sort of backup of the date / time when you remove the main battery?

I get reset to 00:00 sometime in Aug 2005 whenever i remove the sim!

I cant find anyone else mentioning this prob so is it just me?
