Guest Happy Dave Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 Hi group, well got my k-jam this morning and while I'm waiting for my number to be ported I thought i'd star installing some programs. I've hot a problem where theres a file that wont sync and I suspect the applications wasn't suited for WM2005. Anyway I'm trying to HARD reset the device by holding down the Comms Mgr button and the Voice Comm button and pressing the stylus in, the trouble I get is it keeps soft resetting. Am I doing something stupid? How long so you need to hold the stylus in for ? I've checked and all the buttons work as they should but I'm stumpted now.

Guest awarner [MVP] Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 Have the phone on standby first then press the buttons and then the stylus.
Guest Happy Dave Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 Have the phone on standby first then press the buttons and then the stylus. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i tried that more than 10 times and coming from an iPAQ I'm more than used to hard resets ! In the end I tried the software route and that worked - but it was in settings not programs cheers
Guest orangezorki Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 This is how I do it: 1. Hold down the Comm manager and voice dial buttons 2. Press reset button with stylus (still holding down buttons) 3. Wait for message on screen. 4. Press and hold green 'pickup call' button 5. Release the other two buttons Hey presto! David.
