USB problem:windows recognise it but activesync no

Hi,

I've a spv c500 from about a year. I use activesync just a little, but i know that it worked (about 6 month ago). Now when i connect the phone with the usb cable it starts charging, windows recognise it and install the driver, but activesync is not able to see it. I've tried on other computers so it is not a pc software problem (i think).

Any idea? what test can i do to find the problem?

uninstall it then re-install it and make sure you are using the latest version.

tried lots of times, but no results.

I _think_ it is not an activesync problem (on windows) but something concerning with the phone, as it doesn't work on other pc too.

Probably an hard reset will fix the problem, but i want to save contacts and sms before resetting the phone. And i know no way to do this without an activesync connection (i can't install software too)

Don't use the latest version of Activesync, 4.1, if I remember correctly, you need 3.9.

4.1 wouldn't work with my C500.

Tried all versions from 3.7 to 4.1

No changes at all, i repeat that i think it is a _C500_ problem not a _PC_ problem, any idea about this?
