How to backup MMS on C500

Hi folks. I've searched high and low on the forums and can't find an answer to this - how can I backup (and restore) my MMS messages?

I know there are applications that will do SMS backup and restore, and that there are also a ton of applications that are quite vague about what they backup, but I can't find anything that will allow me to backup my MMS messages!

(The lack of backup of this is what's stopped me upgrading to the latest(!) ROM from Orange, with WMP10 and stuff...)

If there isn't a program out there, then does anyone know where/how the data is stored on the phone - I don't mind getting my hands dirty and writing a program to do this, but I don't know where to look.

AFAIK, there isn't any program for MMS backup. I think the data is stored on 1 of the *.vol files (mxip_cemail ?) but the problem is, the vol files cannot be backed up via copy-paste unlike on SP2002.

Have you tried backing up MMS messages as AVI files? Maybe you can use ActiveSync Remote Display then a screen capture program on PC. Take for example the SWF file on this link:

Those are in-game video with actual audio clips recorded as SWF.
