I read that it didnt work? I was thinking of an update to make the phone compatible with the card so the phone will recieve wifi.

not as far as I know - it probably needs drivers or something like that which should be bundled with the hardware device ;)

no no - you mis understood ;)

from what I read - you can use almost any SD/miniSD wifi card which fits into your smartphone - wether this is true or not I am not sure but have heard that it works fine for C500 - and C550 is just a "facelift" for a C500 so pretty much it generally should work I believe - again dont quote me on this.

if the hardware is there, and the software/drivers are bundled - no reason really on why it should not work ;)

Ok i get you, they have to release some drivers soon dont they? so many people would use it.

that is correct, but I would assume that the drivers/software would be bundled WITH the miniSD wifi device

BIIIIG problem - where will the tiny wee antenna go that pokes out the top of the WiFi card? There isn't any room with it being an internal mini-SD slot. This would never be a problem with devices like the E200 which left the antenna poking out the side of the device ;)

And... does the 550 have an SDIO cpacity?
