Guest Jorsher Posted March 5, 2006 Report Posted March 5, 2006 hey, just as the title states I'm trying to figure out how to diable the notification you always get when a message is sent. Not only is it annoying, I send a few hundred a day and sure the extra ring/vibrate doesn't help. I know there's a registry setting, I tried searching the forum but couldn't find the information on it and didn't notice it while browsing the registry. thanks!

Guest Jorsher Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 Disable SMS sent notification fom www.pocketpctweaks.com <{POST_SNAPBACK}> yeah i already looked for that, thst directory and key doesn't exist on my mda. I tried all the tweaks to stop it and none of them work.
Guest DeanJ Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 you have to create the keys yourself i think, it was a while since i did mine and when i just updated the rom i used this program instead to do it for me, along with a few of the other tweaks http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=39725

I had to add the settings myself and it works.
Guest Jorsher Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 Hmmmmmmmm weird, do any of you have the USA T-Mobile MDA? I can find the setting, but it's already set to false (0) and whenever I turn it on, it actually enables a second notification. I get the usual "Message has been sent" then I get the one from "system administrator" that also tells me the message has been sent.
Guest chucky.egg Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 I would think then that one of those messages is from the network - perhaps you can contact T-Mob to see if they can turn it off. One other thing I can think of to check before you call them... In Messaging, Tools, Options (I think, something like that) you can select the Text Messaging account. Check to see if the first tick-box is selected - that turns on receipts for all SMS messages. Untick it if it is ticked and see if that cures it
