backlight on ext lcd screen?

the backlight on my ext lcd screen has stpped working is there an option to turn it in and off in the phone somewhere that i juat can't find or has it broken??

If it doesn't turn on at all, it's probably broke, but you can try,start>9>1>9>8 gets you through to phone settings, I use ext.lcd style 2 with the contrast set to 0.

This lights up the ext.lcd for about 5 secs, but a dab on the on/off button lights it back up, it's not very bright though.
