Guest Snave2005 Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 I had a look round and I couldn't see any other topics with this problem so here I go! Just lately over the last few days my C550 just keeps turning itself off. It will either flick to the orange startup/shutdown screen then go back to working normally or just completely turn itself off. I've had a look on the phone and can't see any problem with the power management options so I'm at a bit of a loose end. There doesn't seem to be any regularity to the shut offs and the battery seems secure when I take the cover off. Any help would be fantastic because this is getting quite annoying now! Thanks
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 What is the battery condition like? Normally this sort of thing is related to a low battery state.
Guest Snave2005 Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 It's been full when it has been doing it or at least it's displaying full battery. I'm going to leave it on charge tonight and see if that makes any difference. Any other ideas are welcome though!
Guest Snave2005 Posted March 7, 2006 Report Posted March 7, 2006 I fully charged the battery last night but it has been still doing the same. The battery is only a few months old. This might be a silly question, (I'm not much of a tech man) but I had a virus pop up on my PC when this started happening and my phone was connected through activesync, could this be the cause? And if so, is there a way of virus checking the phone and fixing it instead of hard resetting? Thanks again guys
Guest Snave2005 Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 Sorry to bump this guys, but I'm still having major problems with this. I've hard reset the phone and still no luck and it seems to be becoming more frequent than ever. Any help at all would be really appreciated. Thanks again
Guest Pondrew Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 Hey Snave2005. No viri have been confirmed on Smartphone nor Pocket PC Phone so I doubt that'd be it. From what you've said I'd assume it was a hardware problem and try and get it fixed under warranty (assuming it's still covered)...
