Guest danolaru Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 when i put the ir beam next to a laptop it's being recognized by the laptop's ir beam as a computer(c600) and that means that is actived , but there is no ir on/off switch I was wondering if it's possible to deactivate it or make a application only to do just that
Guest Tech Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 start > settings > connections > beam hope it helps ;)

Guest danolaru Posted March 7, 2006 Report Posted March 7, 2006 in spv c600's settings in conections is just accept icoming transmisions or something like that and when i want to receive sometihng via bluetooth that thing it's disabling bluetooth incoming too so it's not good there's got to be a registry tweak or something like that
Guest nastassja Posted March 7, 2006 Report Posted March 7, 2006 its really amazing how they can just make an option to turn on the incoming files BOTH irda and bluetooth.. who designed that in Microsoft? on the other hand i guess that having irda on all the time is not making a big consumption of battery.. otherwise it would be off by default i guess.
Guest danolaru Posted March 7, 2006 Report Posted March 7, 2006 why you say that (in their mind- Microsoft)they have set the ir on all the time and is not power consumption why then they didn't give the option to accept when asked first before the file is copied into the phone via bluetooth or ir or why isn't asking where to save and so on... that ir is power consuming and we all know it the spv c600 or sp5 or what other name it has is just a phone(smart) and it has a lot of features but the ir i'm not using(a wifi yes) if Microsoft on theri site the spv c600 has wm2003 what there is to say of them and their so called experts sorry to say that it has a lot of bugs (and it doesn't have a lot
