Guest Disco Stu Posted March 7, 2006 Report Posted March 7, 2006 Run the home_restore cab and you'll get rid of any extra skins : http://smartphone.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=93963 ;)
Guest Pondrew Posted March 7, 2006 Report Posted March 7, 2006 Before that you could try uninstalling the home screen from your Remove Programs...
Guest Andy_spv Posted March 7, 2006 Report Posted March 7, 2006 Oh dear what has happened  .Thats the last time i download anything called Holly Valence !,The crude pics were anything but Holly Valence. Well i active sync'd the phone and can see the affending program in there from the P.C but when i uncheck the box to remove ,it just dont do anything,it is still there i tried many times and it just dosnt delete BUt i have found the pics in the application/home area and deleted them which is a result BUT the 'program'itself is still there, and freezes abit when i turn the phone off as there is now no pics to display??? But at least the dodgy pics are gone, but any-one know how i can delete the program itself??? Remind me not to application unlock my phone again  Many THanks Andy
Guest Disco Stu Posted March 7, 2006 Report Posted March 7, 2006 The best thing to do is to reinstall hollyvalance.hme (or whatever) and then uninstall it using ActiveSync. Only this time, don't try manually deleting files first. ;)
Guest Andy_spv Posted March 7, 2006 Report Posted March 7, 2006 Thanks i'll give that ago ,but a bit nervous about installing that 'rubbish again, but if it gets rid of it finally. I dont suppose any one knows how many programs can be displayed in the remove programs area on the c500 before it goes blank Thanks for all your help guys. AndyThe best thing to do is to reinstall hollyvalance.hme (or whatever) and then uninstall it using ActiveSync. Only this time, don't try manually deleting files first. ;) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Guest Looby Posted March 7, 2006 Report Posted March 7, 2006 Make sure you select Windows Large Font or Simple homescreen before you turn your phone off. Keep your phone on activesync. If you cannot uninstall the program delete everything you can from phone and PC and switch off. Upon re-starting your phone let it do what it wants to do without pressing any buttons (it may appear to be stuck but leave it for quite a while( 10+mins) to sort itself out). If nothing happens the first time switch off or remove battery (if phone is locked) and repeat process remembering to leave it to sort itself out for 10-20 mins without pressing anything. Eventually you should see a screen saying ' No Homescreen Selected'. It may take some time but stay with it. ;)
