Guest Woody_SP5 Posted March 7, 2006 Report Posted March 7, 2006 My Current ROM on my SP5 albeit a few niggly bugs is pretty stable but alas all I want is A2DP. When the new ROM comes out would it be possible just to extract the updated parts of the ROM and install as patches instead of clean install. I have from past experience with the HTC Alpine have found that the addition of extra BT profiles was by means of a simple Broadcom Patch to enable the likes of A2DP and BT Keyboard in WM 2003 SE. I personally have tweak my SP5 to my satisifaction and would not want to upgrade the ROM if there was a way around. Anyone think this is a possiblity when the AKU update comes about ? :??:
Guest Pondrew Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 The Broadcom bluetooth stack on the HTC Blue Angel and HTC Alpine WAS pretty cool. Unfortunately I understood the Microsoft stack was far less upgradable and suspect it'd be impossible to easily extract the necessary...
Guest thenext1 Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 My Current ROM on my SP5 albeit a few niggly bugs is pretty stable but alas all I want is A2DP. The same for me!!!! Other than A2DP i'd like they fix other generic bluetooth bugs... I think we'll have to wait for AKU 2.2 and HOPE they'll release it for our phone. I Also fear that they'll roll out a WM 5 SE with ultra improved support to everything, including 18bit color depth (262k true colors), better bluetooth and stereo profiles indeed, etc etc etc........
