Guest ArcticFox Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 A friend is offering me his broken MDA Compact because hes just upgraded to the jasjar, whats up with it is the headphone/handsfree port im told, its stuck thinking its in handsfree mode and that a handsfree is connected when it isnt. Which brings me to my question, would this be costly to repair? is it something simple? I dont wanna buy it and it end up being a lemon, thanks.
Guest smith2001 Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 i had the exact problem, no amount of reseting, hard reseting or cocktail sticks sorted it, sent it back to t mobile under warrenty and then got a new 1, i guess the cost to repair is more than to replace, i'd steer clear, cos making calls is something you cannot do with it up to your ear, only with the headphones in
Guest ArcticFox Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 Hmm thanks, its still under warranty with HTC and carphone warehouse said they will do it free of charge if it was under warranty. Thanks for the info.
