Guest Prof. Yaffle Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 Hi, First of all sorry if this is the wrong forum. I couldn't decide where it was best suited. I've just upgraded from a C500 to a C600. My 2gb miniSD card arrived today so I thought I'd install Tomtom. On my C500 I copied the Zip folder to My Documents on the internal memory for 7 digit postcodes and all worked. I've just tried this on my C600 and it reports that there's not enough free space. I've had a look and I have approx 8mb internal memory free but the file is over 9mb. All I have installed on the phone are a handful of homescreens. Everything else is on the miniSD card. I'm just wondering if there's a way to use 7 digit postcodes without having to use all of the phones internal memory as it seems daft when I have nearly 1.7gb free on my storage card! Also, can anyone recommend a decent car cradle for the C600? I keep seeing a Brodit mentioned but wondered if there are any decent alternatives I should consider also? TIA
Guest Prof. Yaffle Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 (edited) Hmm, fixed the postcode problem a different way to the C500. Just created an empty directory on the miniSD card called Tom Tom and it works now! (Found the solution when hunting through Google). The question about the cradle still stands though please. ;) Edited March 8, 2006 by Prof. Yaffle
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 Brodit is about the best you can buy.
Guest Prof. Yaffle Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 From what I've seen from hunting around there aren't many alternatives so I may give one of them a go. Thanks.
