Handsfree Profile - Phone using its own mic?

Help, Orange SPV C600 running WM5.

I Got this phone specifically so I could use it with my inbuilt car bluetooth kit and have the address book transfer over to the car. Which it did fine.

Had quite a few calls where people have said the sound quality is pretty bad. I had no complaints the sound thru the car was great and put it down to reception. It seems however that the problem is that the handsfree/headset profile uses the phones own microphone, so the sound qulaity is appalling when you, yourself are talking.

Have I got some setting wrong somewhere, it won't let me select car in the profiles, nor in the bluetooth settings where the car itself is picked up as a headset!

Now the real dilema is that I have a 14 day return policy, this phone is so frustrating.....I love it to bits but nothing I seem to find essential (PC Sync/Car) seem to want to work....as if the adhoc activesync problems were not bad enough! Do I give in and return the phone for a refund and go back to my trusty Nokia 6310i/Ipac combo
