Guest blueflash Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 I hope I'm right that XML phone themes work on the Vario, if so where do yoou place them to make them work? I've made a Home directory in application data, but them in my documents. But there not showing up on the Home theme option ;) the standard PPC themes show up when I place them in My Docs, but I dont like the look of those. prefer my C500 themes with a big clock etc.. I've got a nice green reptile dial pad but thats about it so far.
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 As far as i know PPC themes are not compatible with SP home screens. While they both use XML to implement the layout they are interpreted in different ways. I'm sure there are plenty of today screen plugins available to get the features you want....
Guest Laser_iCE Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 Hey blueflash, if you have SPB Pocket Plus installed, then you are able to use the Extended themes; http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/unithemes/?en They have a clock and what-not, which you said you were looking for ;) Mind you, it's just the clock, otherwise, on the latest rom upgrade for the K-JAM, you can also set the clock up the top to analogue ;) hehe...
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 You've always been able to set the system clock as analgoue in PocketPC ;)
Guest Laser_iCE Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 Really? My bad ;x lol, one of those things I obviously just didn't figure out until I accidently hit the clock ;) Personally I think it's pretty pointless, lol.
Guest daftveggie Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 it is a bit annoying that you have to use an external plugin to get any sort of customisation out of the Vario. Why isn't it possible to make themes in a way akin to smartphones?
Guest veef13 Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 You've always been able to set the system clock as analgoue in PocketPC ;) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> hi, being very dim here... how do you enable analogue clock? when I tap on the clock or under settings theres no option for an analogue clock that I can see..... cheers veef13

Guest veef13 Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 Tap and hold the time on the title bar to get the option! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> thanks but that doesn't work... currently using the new Imate rom that doesn't have time on titlebar, just on a bar below... guess they disabled that feature...
Guest bluesxman Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 thanks but that doesn't work... currently using the new Imate rom that doesn't have time on titlebar, just on a bar below... guess they disabled that feature... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's on the today screen. The time will show on the title bar in apps as analogue or digital (so long as you have that set in clock settings).
Guest blueflash Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 Hey blueflash, if you have SPB Pocket Plus installed, then you are able to use the Extended themes; http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/unithemes/?en Thanks for the link, there not quite the same as the excellent WM5 themes W411Y and kleinweder are making, I though WM5 was suppose to bring smartphones and PPC closer together running the same apps etc.. ;)
Guest Laser_iCE Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 I do agree, it's a shame that they aren't able to be customized as much as the smartphones ... I went straight from an i-mate smartphone2, to the i-mate k-jam, and although I was disappointed for a while, I've learnt to deal with it, over time ;)
Guest TomaHawk Posted March 17, 2006 Report Posted March 17, 2006 Hey blueflash, if you have SPB Pocket Plus installed, then you are able to use the Extended themes; http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/unithemes/?en <{POST_SNAPBACK}> how do you install these? ive downloaded and uninstalled them? should i transfer before i unzip
