Guest Sogarth Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 I'm looking for some software that will let me use my Pocket PC as a Media Center Edition remote. Not surprisingly, I'd like to spend as little as possible doing it. I know that if I were to pay, there are some dedicated pieces of software available, mind you: Rudeo Control for Windows XP Media Center Edition Niveus Pocket Remote I also know that if I'm willing to buy some more general software, there are various plugins and such to control MCE as well (although not nearly as elegantly): PPC Tablet NetRemote But, there's this neat software out there, MCE Controller, that lets MCE be controlled via text commands on TCP/IP ports. And, since I have a computer that doesn't have a suitable IR port, this is the kind of stuff I'm looking for. But, is there anything on the Pocket PC end of things that would let me send text commands to TCP/IP ports easily? Or is there a better solution out there?
