Emulating Orange's Task bar

I've recently switch from an Orange C500/C600 to an i-mate SP5. What I really really miss, is the task bar that sits on the left on the Orange units.

Is there any way to recrete that or emulate it on the SP5? I'm guessing that it's an Orange only app. and probably built into the OS image. But it's so effective compared to a Vanilla MS Mobile 5 install.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hi robertsmithisgod, welcome to the forums.

There is a thread going on here at MoDaCo about getting the Orange plugins, also needed for running the functions in that homescreen, to work on non-Orange devices. They succeeded partially and got some functionality to work.

Since the Orange homescreen needs more files, specifically written for that homescreen, the answer to your question is most likely 'no'. There are however more and more homescreens available with a lot of good functionality in them, most of them can be downloaded here in the downloads section.
