cingular is offering both phones on their website. the 5600 is obviously cheaper and refurbished, but is the 2125 a better way to go? i've read all the reviews and such, just wondering your opinions.

i should also mention that i'm more concerned with sound quality and ring volume than anything else. i work in a noisy environment and need something to compete with the ambient noise. i currently have an mpx220 and it is ok.

I've had both phones, currently using the 2125, and have been extremely happy with both. However, I don't have stringent sound quality requirements. That is not to say either has poor sound, they are pretty average I'd say. The headset does help, particularly because it has stereo phones, which helps cut ambient sound.

If $ is not a consideration, then definitely go with the 2125. Better OS, better screen, better keys, EDGE if available in your area... you get the idea. I had the 5600 before the 2125 and the 2125 is quite a step up.
