phone is dead, cannot charge via USB SYNC cable

I have the tmobile SDA, I have been fairly happy with it.

Today a wierd thing happend. My phone (which had ample charge) just appeared dead as I pulled it out of my pocket to make a call.

I press power button, - nothing. So i figured it must have ran out of juice. I plug it into USB SYNC cable with my PC, no good.

I did not have the original charger with me at work, so I tried a co-worker's Motorola Razor's Charger. still nothing ..

any ideas?

Try removing the battery first for a few minutes then back on. get back home early so you could know if the original charger will save your phone 8)

I did try the battery removal etc, BUT YES the ORIGINAL CHARGER Saved the day.

I had read elsewhere on the forum that with the pocket pc phones you had to cut a wire, and short the battery terminals etc AND that had me worked up.

In my case, plugging in the phone on to the regular charger did the trick in just a few minutes. It started juicing up with the amber light on. I was then able to turn the phone on in shortly after.

I raised this simple issue, just so that all fellow modaco mates wud learn from my experience.
