How to delete an orphaned email account!

So i backed up my Wizard. It had an email acct called 'pop3'.

i restored it but then i had to create a new acct and this time i named it 'gmail'.

so now on my today page, i always see: POP3: 2 unread messages but my system no longer has this account on it.

I have a feeling these two msgs are stuck in the cemail.vol file.

I searched and searched and cant figure out how to kill this file so that i can just resync to get my msgs and rebuild that file.

Any way to do this?

A long shot - but have you tried recreating the account and then removing it?

yeah i thought of that...it was smart enough to say that i couldnt because the name existed....how odd..it exits but i cant see it!!

Any other ideas anyone?
