Guest skiitz Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 Hows it going guys, I cant remember where i read this however somewhere i was readsing that performing too many hard resets can be bad for the ROM. I was just wondering what other peoples thoughts are on this, is there actually a point where too many hard resets are bad?? Cheers
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 I've done countless hard resets on all my devices with no ill effects. There's no reason for it to hurt your device at all...
Guest Laser_iCE Posted March 14, 2006 Report Posted March 14, 2006 If anything, I would assume that it would be better to hard reset every couple of months to maintain optimum speed... Sounds silly I know, but I, alike a lot of other people, get a new device and install everything I can on it as soon as I get it... Then need to hard reset soon after ;) And then one day when I get bored, I'll just decide to hard reset it again, 6 months down the track ;)
Guest fraser Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 I always find that in the first few weeks you tend to make a mess of things anyway, or at least you later learn better ways to do things. Once you get the point where you think you have it all figured out, reset and get it as you want it. You could even do a backup of the config like this if you wanted to go back to it periodically.

Just like me, I've done more than 50 times hard reset on my 818 Pro... But I dont think it will harm the device, because it's not mechanical...
