Podcast software questions

Ok I am a newbie if you will in regards to podcasts. I understand what they are, basically .mp3 files of shows and you can use certain software to automatically download the files to your pc or listening device.

I have a Cingular 2125 with 1GB minisd and there are a couple of shows I think I would like to start listening to. Ideally this process would be easy and automatic for me, software downloads the show and places it on my phone storage card.

I am not looking for smartphone software to do this on the phone itself, the phone is purely the listening device. Any ideas or recommendations as to software to use?

There are a slew of them out there finding them is not a problem, so please don't tell me to search with google. I know I know

I am looking for pro's and con's and recommendations on what others might use to do the same thing with their smartphone.

Your input is appreciated

Looks like I found one I like and I am going to try out for a while. Its called juice and does what I want. Not sure how anything can be much better but I am open to still hearing what others are using.

Here is the link to the one I have settled on for now in case others are interested:

You can try my favorite TCPMP (The Core Pocket Media Player). Once you install the AAC plug in, as well as the other plug ins, your phone will be enabled to play mpeg layer 4 audio and video files. You can download the podcasts onto iTunes on your PC then transfer them to your phone. Leaves iPod in the dust! You can even get DVDs and convert them to mp4 and watch them on your phone.
