Can you try this GNUBoy SP made by Parallax20 , it is QVGA, sound enabled, both landscapes support, for WM5.0

I wanna know if you have the same bug as me: open up a rom, and then hit the button associated to emu menu. In my case it just exit.... too bad

Who is the maintainer of the PocketNesterPlus code? Are they still around??

On my Cing 8525 here are my issues:

1) If you launch a rom with Options->Display->Portrait it crashes (have to use landscape)

2) Clicking on the screen while in game brings you to pause menu, resuming makes game run like 2fps. Have to restart emu

3) Keyboard mapping problem. Since I cannot run in Portrait, I have to run in landscape with keyboard out. Mapping on keys is incorrect so I have to hack past it by setting the keys to the wrong ones to get the ones I want.

4) The screen that allows you to map keys to the controller doesn't scroll

Thanks for the awesome program. If I saw some updates to it, I will donate. Lets get this show on the road! :rolleyes:

Hey. I downloaded pocketnsterplus and got it working. But why is it I cant save the changes I have to make in order to play the game properly. I.E changing the landscape to left and configuring the keys everytime I use it.

I don't remember for this one, but it shouold save preferences in a cfg.txt I assume? If not, then too bad :)

I used the pocketnester on the Dash and it works beautifully. The only problem I've had with it is that it freezes from time to time and I have to shut down the entire phone, other than that, I'm extremely happy with it. So far, its the best thing I've done to my Dash.

Can you please fix some things? I am using this emu on iPAQ hw6510d with 240x240 screen.

1. Dialogs do not fit screen _and_ scrollbars do not works

2. NES screen do not shrinked to 240, part of the game screen (on the right side) is missing.

The same things must be fixed in Picodrive and FinalBurn. PocketSNES do not works at all, hanging after startup.

Hello,

I'm using 0.9 on a HTC Hermes / ATT 8525, and I've had two issues aside from what everyone already mentioned.

First, when I was running Windows Mobile 5, the emulator would play fine for a while and then suddenly choke and skip around at 2fps or so for a bit. Shortly after, it would go back to full speed for another few minutes.

After upgrading to a WM6 (vp3 v2.0) rom, the emulator now locks up after about 8 minutes of gameplay. The rest of the pocket pc responds though, and I can force them emulator to quit without soft resetting the device, but the emulator isn't usable for any extended length of time because of this.

Any ideas what's going on?

hi i have a motorola blackjack and am having trouble getting the tgetfile file installed. can someone ggive me a more detailed step by step walk through. my desktop wont open the file so i put it on my phones storage card and tried to run it but i cant open it. thx

Maybe for yout gameplay issue, it's your crappy Landscape Smartphones (ie: Motorola Q, Tmobile Dash...) the reason.

If "up is left and left is down" it's because the emu thinks the screen is rotated to the right....

My landscape phone is far from 'crappy', with a 412mhz processor and 11.5 mm thick the performace will piss allover the bricks you carry.

Oh and ive never had the 'up is left and down is right' issue with my phone.

I bet you were saying smartphes with a 240*320 resolution were 'crappy' when the first came out, its called progress.

Anyone know why on my PalmTreo 700wx when i get into the controller settings screen i cant go past the Left key , it doesnt even show me the Right key or anything below it, wont let me scroll down or anything, is their a setting i need to set? I can start games fine and everything, just wont allow me to set any keys, they dont even save when i enter a rom :)

I just got a samsung blackjack a few days ago. I also found that youtube video of the guy useing the pocketnestplus 0.9. I was able to get a tg file to install on my device but any emulator I try I just get this program was not intended for this device. I have tried a bunch but nothing works. are the files you are trying to open with the pocketnester in a folder, cause i had that problem, you just have to cut the file from the folder it comes with and paste it to the file you are opening it with instead

First off, this thing ROCKS! Three quick things:

1 - how do you turn the volume down a little? It's really loud.

2 - up/down/left/right needed to be remapped in landscape mode on the Q

3 - Ninja Gaiden wouldn't let me press any buttons or exit: had to pull the battery

Biggest thing is the volume though! Thanks!

If you are using the Motorola Q, adjusting the volume is simple. You have to turn down the earpiece volume by holding down the rolling key on the right side of the unit, then adjusting it. System volume will not change pocketnesterplus' volume, but the earpiece volume will. That should solve your problem.

i just downloaded pocketnester and the .nes files and the games come on but i have completely no control over them, i cant select number of players and/or do anything except access the phone menu, can u tell me what the hell i am doing wrong here?

Hello to all,

I am a new owner of the T-Mobile MDA (running Windows Mobile 5) which I purchased 2 days ago. I have been struggling since then to find a NES emulator that will work properly in landscape mode! I am at my wits end here...sigh... I can successfully load the emu as well as the roms, but regardless of what my controller settings are, they are always completely backwards! Example:

With the keyboard extended, the EMU switches to landscape mode and all is well.

The ROMs load, run, look and sound amazing!!!

My controls are as follows (this has a full QWERTY keyboard BTW):

Left - A

Right - D

Up - W

Down - Z

A button - L

B button - K

Start - Y

Select - T

It seems that regardless of what I setup the keys to be, its as if the EMU thinks it is still in portrait mode and adjusts the keys as such... does anyone know how to force the keys to remain the same *and* work as desired in landscape? I would be immensely appreciative of any help anyone can provide!!

I have a Q as well. I can put the app on the phone and launch it, but when I select a ROM nothing happens. I've also tried multiple things. I have the ROM files on the memory card and PNP on the hard disk. Any ideas?

i downloaded Pocketnesterplus and the tgetfile

and they work fine but when i try to run a game like

Super Mario Bros none of the controls work and neither does the sound.

the sound is enabled and i'm not sure how to set the control settings

Any ideas on what i can do?
