Hello;

I have a SP5 which has the latest ROM - 1.5.333.0 and it likes to play up a lot!

Anyway, just out of the blue, it has decided to change the shortcuts. When I got to Settings for example, down the left hand side are my shortcut keys. They used to be numbers but now are letters, such as A, B, C, etc. I've searched for ages to find somehow to change this...can anyone help please?

Thanks :-)

Have you loaded a bluetooth keyboard for the device? I use a bluetooth keyboard and it will switch the menu numbers to letters when its loaded. Maybe that will help!

I had the same problem a while back but failed to isolate the cause. I'm not sure if it was a bluetooth headset or beta testing papyrus that did it. Hard reset was the only way to get the numbers back.

The letters appeared for me when I used a BT keyboard. They stayed even when I wasn't connected to the keyboard which I just a tad ;) annoying :twisted:

Anyroad, if you're comfortable with editing the registry then change the HasKeyBoard DWORD entry in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell to 0 and reboot. The numbers should be back to stay for good.
