Guest ddieter Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 Quick question for those of you who have a touch sensitive screen. I've noticed if I look at my screen on an angle in the bright light, something which almost looks like a little pool of liquid in the center of the screen. And where ever I touch the screen, this 'pool of liquid' seems to follow and move towards where I touch. Sounds weird I know. But I am curious whether this is the same on all touch screens or whether there is something wrong with mine?

It happens when the overlay presurre sensitive membrane becomes stretched, as it's no longer a uniform distance from the glass it gives the 'splodge' effect much like a screen protector partly stuck on. I've never been able to fix it on the 3 I've seen ( which were caused by coming into contact with a heat source) and end up replacing the digitiser. You may be able to get it under warranty if it is causing you issues, just don't mention the 'splodge' just say it doesn't work.... Richard
