Guest tabski Posted March 14, 2006 Report Posted March 14, 2006 I have an Orange SPV M5000 and I am trying to connect it to a wireless network. The wireless network has access control on for mac addresses and I can't find the mac address of my M5000. So I can't connect. Can anyone help. Thanks Tabski

Thanks Tabski <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Try: Start > Settings > Connections > Wireless LAN Then, choose the Advanced Tab There is then a field there for the MAC address of your device. BUT... It might not show you this unless you have an actual Wireless connection ok...? Try turning wi-fi on, and see if it will at least show you the MAC address following my instructions. If not, unless people know another way to find it, you might have to go to a free wi-fi hotspot to connect, then note down your MAC address. Seems a strange thing to have to do though, so try my suggestion first.
Guest Confucious Posted March 14, 2006 Report Posted March 14, 2006 Shadamehr is, as usual right. Just turning on WiFi should show the MAC address but just having MAC address security isn't very secure - at least that's what everyeone tells me 'cos that's what I use. ;)
