spv c500: mp3 as ringtone

Hi

just got a mini sd card for my spv c500, ive put a few mp3's on it and i want to use one or two of them as ringtones, can someone tell me how to do it, do i have to put them in a certain folder? i have had a look on some forums and some people say that i will have to download a patch, if so does anyone know where i can find the patch??

Hi, The latest ROM for the C500 (4.2.1.4), can be downloaded from the URL below

http://www.orange.co.uk/c500patch/

This will give you the ability to use MP3's as ring tones, it also gives you Windows Media Player 10 among other things.

If you save your MP3's to your SD card you should be able to chose them as ring tones.

hi, im using dopod cect 565, a c500 equivalent except its from Taiwan. It has chinese installed in the phone by default. the question i had is that if i installed the ROM will the chinese be gone? what other complications might i encounter as well since this phone is of different company ultimately...
