ive been saving for a decent phone for years so two days ago i went on ebay and got myself the new XDA Exec from 02, the only problem is i cant get the internet to work!

i cant connect to GPRS or 3G and not even wireless internet.

i was told that its not a PAYG phone and i was wondering if anyone knew how to get past that restriction.

in the setup when i first turned my phone on i noticed it had an option to choose PAYG or contract (contract was shaded and i couldnt select it)

i wonder, if i could somehow select that tab instead my phone might work.

i really dont know much about phones, i guess others have had the same problem as me....anyone know what to do?

ps. im 16 and cant get a contract!

first off internet is not available on pay and go but thre is a work around firts open internet exploerer hit menu options go to connectivity untick autodetect then underneath change the network setting to WAP network.

provided you have the data setting set up you can now connect to the internet.

applets and pocket outlook cannot though nor does instant messanger.

you need to badger O2 to get them to offer it to pay and go customers.

please do so i feel so alone in this request.
