how to update the right menu button of desktop?

i reassign the desktop(home screen) right menu buttum by setting the registry key [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\HOME\Keys\113].

but this takes no effect before pressing the button or pressing home key to show desktop window from other applications.

how to update it timely? tmail.exe can reassing the button timely. when a message comes, this button changes to "message" automatically. how to implement this?
