Turn off backlight when TCPMP Active

I was wondering if anyone knew how to do this. Right now, I assigned the VoiceCmd button(4) to (TOGGLE SCREEN), which shuts off the screen, and then assigned VoiceCmd (HOLD) to open TCPMP, while the screen is off, because TCPMP captures all buttons and I can't shut off the screen while in TCPMP...when doing this, I press the button once while in TODAY and it shuts the screen off, and then I hold the button to bring up TCPMP, and then just control it without the screen on...saves so much battery life. If anyone has a better idea, speak up!
