I want to remove all the tmobile software and UI from my MDA Pro. Does anyone know what information needs to be replaced manually in order for the phone to still work correctly on the network / gprs etc etc ?

Just discovered this forum today. I think it will be my new home ;)

Welcome to the forum. I'm not sure if it's the same with the MDA Pro but with the O2 Exec you get 3 install options when you do a hard reset.

1) Full - everything installed

2) Basic - nothing except the GPRS and network settings

3) Corporate - nothing installed.

If the MDA is the same you just need the Basic install.

If it's not, I'm sure someone will be able to help you but most settings can be found at http://www.modaco.com/T_mobile_UK-t200961.html

Thats great. I'll give it a whirl tonight. Thanks for the link as well - exactly what I was talking about.

Unfortunately I think the different setup options are unique to the XDA range of Pocket PC Phones so there won't be any options after a hard reset, it just procedes to process the extended rom and install everything.

I personally don't recommend interfering with the extended rom but it is possible to prevent it running and prevent it installing everything by resetting after a hard reset, before it runs the customisation process...

Yeah... Well I found my way in (unlocked etc) and backed up all the cabs. Now I just need to work out whats important and whats not ;)

Does anyone happen to know where theres a description of what the different cab files do for the MDA Pro? For a lot of them the clues in the name, but not all.
