Guest mangesh_34 Posted March 18, 2006 Report Posted March 18, 2006 Maybe you guys didnt understand my problem, I want to connect to the internet using a separate ISP with dial up and not gprs,I went to the data connections option under settings , added a new dial up connection with the username and password and Isp phone no.and tried to surf but it says 'Cannot place a call' Anyhelp will be truely valued
Guest martin Posted March 18, 2006 Report Posted March 18, 2006 Have you checked with you network provider that they still allow GSM CSD (Circuit Switched Data) calls and, if they do, that this servie has been activated on your account. Most networks are focusing on GPRS (Packet Switched Data) as it gives a much more efficient use of their radio network resource.
Guest mangesh_34 Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 My friend who owns the Imate Jam and myself both have subscribed to HUTCH. He says he has not activated any of the services neither GPRS nor CSD, just dials into a separate ISP Provider. He just goes to some 'cellular line 'option and makes an account while I dont have the 'cellular line' option Can you pls provide detailed step by step instuctions on the dial up settings? Thanx again
