Guest Chorlie Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Hi, Does anyone know if it's possilbe to play a Quicktime movie clip on a C500. I'm guessing I'd need to download some software, but can't find a Smartphone version of Quicktime. Anyone know of one? Cheers
Guest mini_man Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 You meen .mov yeh? The video player TCPMP will play Quicktime files.
Guest Chorlie Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 (edited) I did try TCPMP but it wouldn't play the files, it says:- Player: Video codec (Sorenson Video 1) not supported by the player! and on the other file I get:- Player: MPEG4 AAC Audio decoder not included! It was removed from the official install package because of intellectual property considerations. I ok to that and get the first message again. Any ideas? Edited March 16, 2006 by Chorlie
Guest mini_man Posted March 17, 2006 Report Posted March 17, 2006 Just read up on this and it seems they removed this codec, i dont no if you can download it anywhere but you can use the old version of tcpmp which was betaplayer. They will write a new codec soon
Guest Chorlie Posted March 17, 2006 Report Posted March 17, 2006 Hi, I've just installed an older version of TCPMP (Ver. 0.66) and that won't play .mov files either. It sounds like they used to but removed it (copyright reasons maybe). Anyone got any ideas, or a version that will work that can be e-mailed to me?
Guest mini_man Posted March 17, 2006 Report Posted March 17, 2006 I think betaplayer (earlier the 0.66) should allow this
Guest Chorlie Posted March 17, 2006 Report Posted March 17, 2006 Do you know where I can download it from, tried from the main download page, I can see older than 0.66 but when I click on it just a blank page opens.
Guest mini_man Posted March 17, 2006 Report Posted March 17, 2006 try this http://airfagev.com/apps/betaplayer[1].smartphone.0.04.exe
Guest Chorlie Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 Thanks for that mm, but I still can't get the .mov files playing. I give up.....lol
Guest abhayseth Posted March 21, 2006 Report Posted March 21, 2006 once u installed the TCMP player you need to get into the setting page and click on the file associations - which would allow to play all movie files. I am using the player sucessfully. ;) ;) :( Thanks for that mm, but I still can't get the .mov files playing. I give up.....lol <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
