Guest UA_KiNG Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 (edited) here's what happened: a couple hours ago i hooked up my smt5600 phone through usb to my computer. activesync opened up and froze (it has before, nothing unusual). and soon after that my phone started giving me errors saying that it couldn't open anything because there was not enough memory. it wouldnt even turn off, so i had to manually remove the battery. now the phone wont boot. it freezes when it reaches the starting up part of windows, after the audiovox logo. as my last resort i tried to do a hard reset. when i try to do a hard reset the phone just keeps restarting itself. i know i am doing it right, as i have done a hard reset before. i dont know what it is nor how to fix it and couldn't find anything online. please tell me if you have any idea at what at what it could be or how to fix it thanks in advance p.s. i also have xBar 2 installed on it, dont know if that helps or not Edited March 16, 2006 by UA_KiNG
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 If you are successfully doing a hard reset Xbar will not be a problem as it would have been wiped from teh phone already. Try again making sure the phone is disconnected from the PC and remove your storage card.

I installed XBAR on my handset and then after a bit I tried hitting Start and there was no programs... I restarted the phone and the same thing happened... it wouldn't go past the blue windows screen... I couldn't do nothing about it... in fact, I had to ship it to Audiovox in New York and they couldn't do nothing about it and sent me a replacement, which was locked so I had to pay another 50$ to unlock it.... WOW DO NOT INSTALL XBAR NO ONE.... sorry to hear it happened to you too but I'm glad that it actually has finally worked for you! ;) Edited March 19, 2006 by xda_gangsta
